Guiseley part ways with manager Mark Bower
Guiseley have parted company with manager Mark Bower.
The Lions have also confirmed that assistant Daniel Boshell has been relieved of his duties.
Returning to the club in April 2024, the duo led the Lions to the FA Cup first round and play-off final during the 2024/25 season.
However the club have said that "a change was required" after winning just 10 of their last 33 competitive games.
A club statement confirming their departure added: "The points return and performances over the last 28 league games [are] not befitting of a club wanting to challenge at the top end of the table."
Although results up until late January 2025 were strong, a downturn in form saw them finish the season fourth.
Beaten in the play-off semi-finals, they were subsequently given a reprieve after Stockton Town's expulsion but were beaten 2-1 by Worksop Town in the play-off final.
A club statement continued: "The pair led the club into the 25/26 season, however inconsistent performances and a continuation of results from February onwards has led the club to making the difficult decision to part ways.
"Mark and Danny will always be held in high regard by both officials and supporters of the club, and we wish them the best in their future careers."
Liam Ridehalgh has been placed in caretaker charge while the search for a permanent successor begins.
Guiseley's next game is away at Warrington Town on Saturday 18 October.
