Lived it, breathed it, loved it - Grimsby Borough club legend departs

Grimsby Borough forward Adam Drury has announced that he will leave the club after nine years.

Drury, a former Manchester City academy player, joined his hometown club in February 2016 when they played in the NCEL Division One.

He has gone on to represent Borough more than 350 times, scoring over 100 goals, and has played a major role in their rise to Step 4.

Drury scored six times in 43 appearances for the Wilderness Boys this season as they finished 17th in the NPL East Division, three points above the relegation zone.

Taking to social media to confirm his departure, Drury said: "After nine amazing years, my time at Grimsby Borough has come to an end.

"[I've] made great friends, unforgettable memories, and lived every moment.

“Thanks to all managers and players, past and present. Wishing the club all the best.”
