Macclesfield welcome National League North striker on loan
Macclesfield have announced the signing of Diego De Girolamo from Buxton on loan until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old forward has been with the Bucks since 2018, and played a key role in their rise from the Northern Premier League to Step 2 in 2022.
In total, he scored 120 goals in 229 appearances for the club.
Prior to this, the former Sheffield United Academy graduate, who made two appearances for the Blades, featured for the likes of York City, Northampton Town, Cheltenham Town and Chesterfield before his move to Macclesfield Town at the start of the 2017/18 season.
De Girolamo will go into contention to make his debut for the Silkmen in their next fixture at home to Mickleover on Saturday in the NPL Premier Division.
In other news, the club have also announced that winger Dontai Gabidon has signed for Warrington Rylands on a one-month loan deal.
Gabidon has made 11 appearances in all competitions so far and has scored once since his move from FC United of Manchester in September 2024.
