New Chasetown manager unveiled after Mark Swann departure

Chasetown have appointed Jamie Hawkins as their new manager.

Since February 2020, Hawkins has served as assistant to Mark Swann, who stepped down as manager last week due to personal reasons.

Described as an "integral part of Chasetown FC for over five years", including as a player for the Scholars, Hawkins also boasts previous managerial experience from a two-year spell at Lichfield.

Confirming his appointment, a club statement read: "Jamie has shown exceptional commitment to the club and a strong understanding of its culture, values and ambitions.

"The board are confident that he is the right person to take Chasetown FC forward and to build on the strong foundations already in place.

"The club would like to thank its supporters for their continued loyalty and looks forward to an exciting new era under Jamie’s leadership."

Chasetown currently find themselves ninth in the NPL West Division, having been without a game last weekend.

They sit three points off the play-offs and return to action on Saturday at home to Bootle, in what will be Hawkins' first game in charge.
