New man between the posts for Quorn

NPL Premier Division newcomers Quorn have completed the signing of goalkeeper Jake Laban on a season-long loan.

Laban arrives at Farley Way from National League North side Harborough Town.

Following spells at Hinckley and Corby Town, he completed a move to Harborough before spending the second half of last season on loan at Rushall Olympic.

Formerly of Burton Albion's academy, Laban is no stranger to coming up against the Reds, having done so before whilst on dual-registration for Anstey Nomads and then again for Hinckley.

“I know a few lads already that I was with at Coalville a while back, and having played against Quorn a few times over the years, I’ve always been impressed with how the team is organised and everyone knows their jobs,” he said.

“This season I would like to help the team, as much as I can, to achieve the highest finish possible.

"It’s a tough league, but we all believe we can have a strong first season in the Northern Premier League. Personally, I’d like to gain more minutes and experience at this level to help me improve as much as I can.”
