New one and two for Ilkeston Town

New one and two for Ilkeston Town

Ilkeston Town have moved to sign goalkeeper Sam Wilson and full-back Lynden Joyce.

Wilson arrives from Eastwood Town, where he recorded 35 clean sheets in 136 appearances, while Joyce makes the move from Basford United, where he came through their academy set-up.

Manager Tristram Whitman told the club’s official website: "Sam brings experience, composure and a strong understanding of the non-league game, and we are confident he will be a valuable addition to the squad.

"(Lynden) is a young, hungry full-back who we feel is a perfect fit for the way we want to play. From our first conversations, his ambition, attitude and desire to improve stood out, and those are qualities we place a huge value on."
