NPL & LCE Elite Performance launch exciting new SEND initiative
The Northern Premier League and Life Changing Education (LCE) Elite Performance are proud to announce a brand-new partnership aimed at creating life-changing opportunities for young people with additional needs.
The new “Overcoming Barriers & Maximising Potential” programme will support Post-16 young adults and Year 11 pupils with EHCPs who are at risk of becoming disengaged from education, employment or training.
Delivered at Northern Premier League clubs across the North and Midlands of England, the 12-week programme combines mentoring, employability skills, personal development and real-world industry experiences to help young people build confidence, resilience and clear pathways for their future.
Participants will benefit from:
- Employability and interview preparation
- Industry visits and guest speakers
- Confidence and resilience workshops
- Mental health and wellbeing support
- CV building and career planning
- Entrepreneurial opportunities through the LCE Dragons’ Den initiative
- Ongoing mentoring after programme completion
Krystian Liptrot, director of Life Changing Education, said: “This partnership is about giving young people belief, opportunity and a genuine pathway forward. We want participants to leave the programme with confidence, ambition and the tools they need to succeed in life.”
Steve Hobson, director of the Northern Premier League, added: “Our clubs are at the heart of their communities, and this initiative allows us to make a real difference beyond football. We’re excited to work alongside LCE Elite Performance on a programme that can create lasting impact.”
Over the forthcoming season, the pilot programme is set to launch across selected NPL clubs in seven regions, with ambitions to expand further following its initial rollout.
Together, the Northern Premier League and LCE Elite Performance are committed to breaking down barriers, creating opportunities and helping young people unlock their full potential.
