NPL Premier Division Team of the Season announced
The Northern Premier League Premier Division Team of the Season has been unveiled.
Champions Hebburn Town are represented three times, as are FC United of Manchester.
Play-off winners Hednesford Town have two inclusions, while Lancaster City, Rushall Olympic and Warrington Rylands all have one player in the starting XI.
Beaten play-off finalists Rylands also have three players named on the bench, which is completed by representatives from Hebburn and Hednesford.
Golden Boot winner Gary Martin leads the line, in a starting XI which includes four players who scored 14 or more league goals last season.
As a result of his club securing a league-high 18 clean sheets, Hednesford goalkeeper Tony Breeden is also named alongside Pitmen defender Ollie Harrison.
The only players included from teams who finished outside of the top five are Lancaster stalwart Sam Bailey and Carter Lycett, who impressed at left-back for Rushall Olympic.
Our Team of the Season was voted for by managers in their respective divisions.
The four Team of the Season sides will be announced throughout the week, as part of the build-up to the NPL's annual awards dinner in Blackpool.
