Priestley completes Lincoln United return

Lincoln United have announced the return of midfielder Leo Priestley, who has joined the club from local rivals Boston Town.

The 22-year-old was a key part of Boston’s historic run to the United Counties League Premier Division North trophy last season, as they won their first league title in 25 years.

Lincoln described Priestley as a “serial winner”, in a post confirming his arrival. He tasted success in his previous spell with the Whites in 2024/25, during a campaign which saw them claim the same trophy as Boston, earning promotion back to the NPL East Division.

After putting pen to paper with United, Priestley said: “Speaking to Freck [manager Dave Frecklington] and the way we’re going to play next season, it’s going to suit me.

“I like that we’re going to strive for the play-offs, and I’m going to enjoy it because I know a few of the lads.

“I want to get on the scoresheet more. I want to consistently perform each week.”
