Rylands announce double signing as stalwart departs

Highly-coveted Tranmere Rovers youngster Kyle Hayde has joined Warrington Rylands for an undisclosed fee.

Described as a technical and versatile player, he will further bolster Dave McNabb’s newly-promoted squad upon his arrival at Gorsey Lane.

The club have also announced that Hayde will be joined by young Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Sam Tickle.

The Latics stopper will initially arrive at the club on loan until 1 January 2023.

One goalkeeper who won’t be at Rylands next season is cult hero Graeme McCall, who departs after being a mainstay of the Blues’ first team over the past four seasons.

He played a major part in their incredible FA Vase triumph in 2020/21.

"It's been some ride, one which I never could of imagined when I joined Rylands," he said.

"I've made friends for life and memories people could only dream of. Thank you to everyone that has made the journey so special."
