Sheward and Baker join the Castle
Newcastle Town have confirmed the signings of goalkeeper Jack Sheward and defender Billy Baker.
Sheward, 23, adds great quality between the sticks for Neil Baker’s side, having built his reputation with over 100 appearances for Whitchurch Alport.
The rising star also made headlines for scoring a 70-yard stunner from a free-kick against Stourport Swifts for Alport back in March.
As for Baker, 18, he is a familiar face to Castle fans having spent last season on loan from Crewe Alexandra.
After rising through the academy with the Railwaymen, he now makes the switch to Staffordshire permanent.
The youngster is also the grandson of current manager Neil Baker.
