Stafford's Graham Deakin crowned Step 4 Manager of the Month

Stafford have been fighting on multiple fronts throughout September, but in the league they have been flawless, picking up 12 points from a possible 12.

They have enjoyed real success in the FA Cup too, progressing past Northampton ON Chenecks in first round qualifying before stunning Hereford, leaders of the National League North, in the next round.

Their cup run has since continued into October: a replay win at Halesowen Town means National League side Gateshead are the only thing standing between Stafford and a spot in the first round proper.

Stafford's fine league form saw them climb from fifth in the table to second, and although they currently sit third, games in-hand on all of the sides around them mean Deakin's men find themselves in a strong position.

Beaten to September's award were Craig Elliott (Bradford Park Avenue), Alan Morgan (Bootle) and Elliot Sandy (AFC Rushden & Diamonds).
