Stalybridge bolster attacking options for 2025/26

Stalybridge Celtic have announced the signing of striker Ruben Jerome from Bury.
Jerome, 30, joins the Celts after a successful season with the Shakers, helping them to secure promotion to Step 4 with 14 goals in 26 appearances.
Prior to his time with the Greater Manchester-based phoenix club, he enjoyed two successful spells with Workington and Emley, where he tallied 38 and 39 goals respectively to help both clubs to their own promotion-winning campaigns.
He has also featured for the likes of Southport, Harrogate Town, Warrington Town, Ramsbottom and Droylsden.
On his move to Bower Fold for the 2025/26 season, Jerome said: "I’m delighted to sign for the Club. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Club and the fan base it has.
“I’m excited to get going, and hopefully we can give the club and fans a season to remember.”
Stalybridge Celtic manager Jon Macken is delighted to secure the services of the prolific goalscorer, adding: "We’re over the moon that Ruben has decided to play his football here at Stalybridge next season.
"He’s a real all-round striker and someone I’ve seen a lot over the years. He’s got experience and has achieved promotion from this league before.
“His goal record speaks for itself, and I am absolutely thrilled to have secured his signing. I think the fans will really love him.”
