Striker Shaw makes switch to Quorn

Quorn have announced the signing of Belper Town forward Luke Shaw.

The 30-year-old moves to Leicestershire after spells with Belper, Leamington in the National League North, Grantham Town and most famously, Coalville Town.

He achieved legendary status for the Ravens having scored the winner at Notts County to take them to the FA Cup first round proper in 2022/23: an occasion he described as a ‘full circle moment’ having progressed through County’s academy system.

His prolific spell of 45 goals in 198 games with Coalville, which also included a run to the FA Trophy quarter-finals, was enjoyed with fellow new recruit Tim Berridge and forward Billy Kee.

Despite serious injuries curtailing some of his career thus far, Shaw is determined to hit the ground running with his new side.

“I’m hoping to stay fit throughout the season and be a regular choice in the starting 11 for the gaffer," he said.

"Ultimately I just can’t wait to be playing in front of the fans and enjoying the style of football that the gaffer wants to continue.”

“I’ve watched them [Quorn] many times in the last few years and always enjoyed their style of play."

Ryan Beswick’s men will play the 2026/27 campaign in the Northern Premier League ranks, having been moved laterally from the Southern League Premier Central.
