Supporters' Player of the Season voting now open
Supporters across the Northern Premier League can now vote for their Player of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign.
Nominations are now open and will be accepted up to 11:59pm on Wednesday 22 April.
Supporters may nominate up to three players to be put forward for the award. However, they may only nominate a maximum of one player per club.
Players who have played for more than one NPL club during the season will count as playing for all clubs. For example, Joe Bloggs, who moved from Ashton United to Atherton Collieries, will count as a player of both clubs.
Nominations are to be made by the following methods and only one platform can be used:
- Facebook/Instagram: Comment on the specific Facebook post or Instagram post on the league's official pages.
NOTE: Comments on shares or as replies to other people's nominations will not be counted.
- X (FKA Twitter): Post a Tweet with the hashtag #NPLSPOTS26 and the players to nominate. The tweet must include the hashtag for it to count.
DEADLINE: You have until 11:59pm on Wednesday 22 April to submit your nomination.
Eligibility rules
- The player must be fully registered to play in the Northern Premier League and be eligible to play first team football for the club during the 2025/26 season.
- Players must have played in the league for a minimum of 60 days and must not be playing under a youth loan, work experience or short-term loan, unless from another club within the Northern Premier League.
- Long-term loan and players playing the PDL where a Pitching In NPL club is the parent club are eligible for the award.
- The player must have played in a first team match during the season (a first team match being in the Northern Premier League, FA Cup or FA Trophy).
- Players who are or have been suspended by the FA for incidents not relating to a matchday or non-footballing reasons are ineligible for the award (examples include discrimination, betting rules, anti-doping).
- Players and managers may not nominate for themselves or any player at their own club.
