Two new arrivals at Matlock Town

Matlock Town have announced the return of winger Jesurun Uchegbulam from current Cymru Premier Champions The New Saints (TNS), while experienced midfielder Josh Waldram has also completed a move to the club.

Despite signing for TNS in early June, 25-year-old Uchegbulam has opted to make the switch back to the Proctor Cars Stadium after an outstanding previous spell with the Gladiators.

Scoring nine goals in 38 appearances during his first stint, Uchegbulam established himself as a firm favourite, his performances securing a transfer to National League side Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee.

An impressive footballing CV has seen Uchegbulam enjoy spells at the likes of Rochdale, Oldham Athletic and Chelmsford City

Born in Lagos, Uchegbulam later moved to Italy with his family and spent time in the AC Milan academy, before relocating to England at the age of 15.

Also making the move to the Proctor Cars Stadium, 27-year-old Waldram has represented a number of clubs over the past 12 months, including Brighouse Town, Lincoln United and Clay Cross Town, among others.

Matlock say he is a “composed and intelligent midfielder” who will prove to be a "valuable addition” in their hunt for promotion from the NPL East Division.
