West Division Golden Boot winner to leave Avro
Avro striker Kyle Hawley has confirmed that he will leave the club.
Hawley, who first joined the Ro in 2023, enjoyed his best season in front of goal last term.
His 25 league goals helped fire Avro to Step 3 via the NPL West Division play-offs, with Hawley scoring the fourth goal in their promotion-clinching 4-2 win over Stalybridge Celtic.
Hawley's 25 goals saw him finish four clear of anyone else in the division, earning him the Golden Boot.
He leaves the club having scored 56 times in 111 appearances.
Taking to social media, Hawley said: "After the last few seasons, it’s time for me to move on from Avro.
"Big thanks to everyone at the club, management, staff, team-mates and everyone behind the scenes - for all the support and memories.
"[I'm] ready for a new challenge and excited for what’s next."
A club statement paying tribute to their outgoing forward read: "After an incredible season which saw Kyle Hawley claim the NPL West Golden Boot, he has announced his departure from Avro.
“We would like to thank Kyle for his commitment, professionalism and quality, and wish him all the best in the future.”
