Widnes FC sign former Bootle midfielder
Midfielder Jordan Wynne has become Widnes FC’s fifth summer signing.
Wynne, 24, left the Bucks earlier this summer and has now been snapped up by Dave Dempsey’s side.
He spent time with Everton, Liverpool and Wigan Athletic as a trainee before moving to AFC Fylde as a teenager.
Wynne then moved on to Prescot Cables where he became a popular fans’ favourite in a three-year-spell with the Pesky Bulls, twice lifting the Liverpool Senior Cup alongside now Whites team-mates Lloyd Dean and James McCulloch.
He enjoyed a brief stint at Trafford early in the 2019-20 season before moving to Runcorn Linnets and then Hyde United.
“Jordan will bring an abundance of quality into our midfield area,” manager Dave Dempsey said.
“He is a player I’ve admired for a while and I’m delighted to be able to add him to the squad.
“I’m sure he’ll settle in quickly and be a big part of the team moving forward.”
