Young Shepshed Dynamo star earns Football League move
Shepshed Dynamo have announced that midfielder Jesse Friend has completed a move to Football League side Notts County.
The switch sees Friend sign his first professional contract, linking up with the Magpies on an initial one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.
The 19-year-old joined Dynamo in October 2024 and established himself as an invaluable member of the squad, culminating in a standout 2025/26 season which saw him score 14 goals.
In a statement confirming the youngster's departure, Shepshed said they were "delighted" to see Friend earn an opportunity in the professional game, adding: "His move is a testament to the commitment and quality he has shown throughout his time at the club, and we are proud to have played a part in his journey.
"We would like to place on record our congratulations, and wish Jesse every success at Notts County."
