Changes aplenty at Coleshill Town

Coleshill Town have spent the past few days refreshing their squad, with three new faces joining recently-appointed manager Paul Hathaway ahead of Saturday’s home game against Cambridge City.

Hathaway was appointed to the role last Saturday, although the circumstances leading to the departure of previous incumbent Dave Stringer - who was only appointed to the role at the start of the month - remain unclear.

Hathaway has started to rebuild his squad by signing forwards Jack Whelan and Chris Cowley.

Whelan arrives from Birmingham United, while Cowley joins the club from Midland Football League side Atherstone Town.

Former Gresley Rovers goalkeeper Lewis Fenney has also made the move to Pack Meadow.

During his time at Gresley, he kept 27 clean sheets in 85 appearances. He previously played for Cambridge United, Leamington and Boldmere St Michaels.

The trio go straight into contention for this weekend’s game as the Coleman look to close the five-point gap to the play-off spots.
