Colls fans plot sponsored walk to help groundfunder

The Atherton Collieries Supporters Club are to hold a Sponsored Walk to their game at Warrington Rylands (Sat 23rd Dec) as the club come within touching distance of their vital GoFundMe Groundfunder campaign being completed.

The GoFundMe campaign is an important step as the club look to secure the long-term future of their Skuna Stadium home and build upon the community facilities for the first team, junior section, community events and beyond. Additional benefits of securing the lease will include new grant opportunities for disabled access facilities, pitch improvements, supporters experience and more.

The club have so far raised just under £4,300 of their £5,000 target, with just £700 more needed to hit the initial threshold. Any additional funds will go towards the budget for further improvements of club facilities.

The walk is welcome for all supporters to join, meeting between 8 and 8:20am at the Skuna Stadium for an 8:30am departure to Warrington Rylands on Saturday the 23rd, with the walk set to take just over four hours for a lunchtime arrival in Orford.

For more information, or to donate towards the walking party and GoFundMe page, please either speak to Dave Wyche (@ACFC1916SC) or Emil Anderson, or visit our crowdfunder directly at https://www.gofundme.com/f/secure-a-new-lease-for-athertons-skuna-stadium
