Curtis Woodhouse leaves Marske United

Marske United have parted company with manager Curtis Woodhouse by mutual consent.

Woodhouse only took charge of the Seasiders at the beginning of November following the departure of club legend Carl Jarrett.

The former Tadcaster Albion and Gainsborough Trinity manager arrived with the club 16th in the Northern Premier League.

Woodhouse guided them to the fourth round of the FA Trophy, where they were beaten 7-1 by Farsley Celtic of the National League North.

However, Marske have won just three of their 13 matches during his tenure and now sit third-bottom of the Northern Premier League - although they do have a significant numbers of games in-hand on the teams around them.

One of those three victories came in midweek as they ran out 2-1 winners at Nantwich Town.

Taking to social media, Woodhouse said: “I’d like to thank all the players for the hard work over the last few months in what’s been a difficult period.

“I wish Marske United all the best moving forward.”

A Marske United statement read: “The club would like to place on record its thanks to Curtis for the energy, commitment and determination he has shown since taking the role and wish him the best of luck in the future.”

It is unclear whether Woodhouse's successor will be in place before their home game against Warrington Town this weekend.
