Danny Taberner makes Linnets return

Runcorn Linnets have announced the signing of former Atherton Collieries goalkeeper Danny Taberner.

Taberner, 29, left Colls earlier this month after making 134 appearances for the club across three spells.

After impressing on trial during pre-season, he will now link up with Linnets, joining former Wrexham stopper Andy Coughlin in their goalkeeping ranks.

Dave Wild’s side kick off the new Pitching In NPL West Division season at home to Widnes FC on Saturday 13 August.
