Defender swaps Matlock for Stafford

Stafford Rangers have announced the signing of Akeem Hinds from Matlock Town.

The 23-year-old left-back has featured seven times for the Gladiators this season after moving to the club during the summer.

A former Rotherham United player, Hinds made his debut for the Millers at 15 years old in an EFL Trophy fixture against Chesterfield.

After signing a professional contract with Rotherham United, he made multiple loan spells at Frickley Athletic, Hyde United and Bradford (Park Avenue).

Hinds joined Buxton prior to the start of the 2021/22 Northern Premier League season, going on to feature 22 times for the Bucks.

He will go into contention for Matlock Town's upcoming fixture at home to Belper Town on Boxing Day.
