Exciting duo make Linnets move

Former City of Liverpool striker Josh Quarless and Chorley youngster Callum McHale have joined Runcorn Linnets.

He is no stranger to this level, having scored eight goals last season for City of Liverpool.

The 6’7 forward netted a further 13 goals earlier in the season for Burscough.

He will be joined in the Linnets ranks by hugely-talented forward McHale, who has made the move on loan from National League North side Chorley.

Promoted to the Magpies’ first team squad ahead of the new campaign, he netted five goals in pre-season for the club.

It has now been decided that McHale, 18, will further his development under the guidance of Dave Wild, with the teenager appearing for Linnets in recent friendlies against Chester and Stockport Georgians.
