FA Cup First Round ties to go ahead this weekend

The FA have announced that all FA Cup First Round Proper ties will go ahead on the weekend, with non-elite clubs granted permission to play under elite protocols.

The UK Government has confirmed that the ten non-elite clubs that remain in the competition will be able to play their matches under elite protocols. Matches will take place between 6-9 November 2020. All ties will be played behind closed doors, in line with COVID-19 guidelines.

FC United of Manchester are set to face Doncaster Rovers live on the BBC on Saturday, November 7 at 5:30pm at Broadhurst Park.

N/West Division side Marine’s reward for beating Chester is a long trip away to Colchester United, while South Shields’ reward for seeing off FC Halifax Town is an away tie at Cheltenham Town.

Winning clubs in the Emirates FA Cup first round will receive £16,972 from the FA prize fund, with losing clubs collecting £5,657.
