Miller, 33, has scored 102 goals in more than 450 Football League appearances.
He began his career at Crewe Alexandra and had spells with Sheffield United, Coventry City, Morecambe and Carlisle United.
Dabbers manager Dave Cooke said: “We actually spoke to Shaun last season, but he was offered a football league contract which he took, so it’s nice to finally get him signed.
“We’re delighted that he’s joined, he brings a wealth of experience to the side which is invaluable at this level. He’s scored a lot of goals in the football league and he’s a local lad which will certainly mean that the fans will get behind in on match-days.
“We’re very pleased to be able get Shaun on board in time for the new season.”
Miller helped Bolton to promotion to League One last season, and is Nantwich’s second signing of the summer after goalkeeper Cameron Terry.
They host Stalybridge Celtic on the opening day of the new Pitching In Northern Premier League season next Saturday.
