Four new arrivals at Stalybridge

Stalybridge Celtic have brought in defenders Scott Holding and Matty Carson, midfielder Dylan Moonan and striker Nathan Caine.

Central defender Holding, 19, joins the club on a one-month loan from Championship side Watford, whom he joined on a two-year deal last summer.

He had previously risen through the ranks of Stockport County before enjoying a brief spell on loan with Ashton United.

Moonan and Carson, meanwhile, arrive at Bower Fold from Accrington Stanley on one-month youth loans.

A 20-year-old, box-to-box midfielder, Moonan came through the ranks of Burnley before joining Stanley in 2021.

Carson, who operates primarily at left-back, spent time with Liverpool as a youngster before joining Burnley at the age of 14.

He has also played in Northern Ireland for Carrick Rangers, and more recently the National League North with AFC Telford United.

Completing the quartet of new faces is Caine, who has arrived on a permanent deal from Stafford Rangers.

The 19-year-old was previously a part of League Two Mansfield Town’s squad, making his senior debut for the Stags in the EFL Trophy back in November 2020.

He has also spent time on loan at Nuneaton Borough, Ilkeston Town and Sutton Coldfield Town.

Caine has featured six times for Rangers so far this season, prior to his move to Celtic.
