The club announced that the deal for the player has been withdrawn by manager Darren Kelly.
Kelly said: "Kian has been given the opportunity on four occasions to sign a deal over the past few weeks, but we have now withdrawn that.
"After conversations with his dad he went on trial and also kept pulling out of signing for us.
"Kian should be proud to wear a Scarborough Athletic shirt, we are not a club that wants to play second fiddle.
"I wanted to get everything done this week so it was in place for Saturday, but on the advice of his dad he has decided that he wants to go on trial at Halifax instead.
"I couldn't wait any longer, we just decided enough was enough."
