Kidsgrove manager agrees early departure from role

Kidsgrove Athletic have confirmed that manager Scott Dundas has departed his role with immediate effect.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Dundas would vacate his role as manager at the end of the season.

A recent development has seen the club and Dundas agree to part company as the Grove looks to appoint a new manager ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Current Kidsgrove forward Anthony Malbon will take up the reins of interim manager for their home clash against Bootle tomorrow.

In a statement, the club said: "Following the midweek announcement that manager Scott Dundas and his backroom staff would be leaving at the end of the season, the club and Scott have decided that in the interests of both parties to part company with immediate effect in order to allow the club to appoint a new manager with a view to building towards next season.

"Chairman Mick Fitzjohn wishes to place on record his thanks and best wishes to Scott and all of his backroom team.

"Also departing are Neil and Val who again go with the club's thanks and best wishes.

"The club's record goalscorer, Anthony Malbon, will take charge of team affairs for tomorrow's visit of Bootle."
