Liversedge make triple signing on Deadline Day

Liversedge have brought in three new faces ahead of the Northern Premier League's signing deadline.

Boston United midfielder Sam Essien has arrived on loan until the end of the 2023/24 campaign, having featured for both the Pilgrims' U23s and first team this season.

The ex-Halifax Town academy man has previously enjoyed time on loan at Northern Counties side Golcar United.

Sedge have also agreed terms with two further players on a dual-registration, with former Altrincham and Stalybridge Celtic goalkeeper Louis Hood - currently with Maltby Main - and Sleaford Town forward Akeel Francis available for them between now and the end of the season.

Liversedge currently occupy a mid-table position in the Pitching In NPL East Division with six games of the regular season left to play.
