Lynch makes Linnets return

Runcorn Linnets have announced the return of midfielder Joe Lynch.

Lynch makes an impressive contribution during his previous spell at the club during the 2021/22 season. In total, he scored seven goals in 45 appearances, with six of those coming from the penalty spot.

He followed then-Linnets-boss Calum McIntyre to Chester last summer and appeared 23 times for the National League North outfit, scoring twice.

Prior to first joining Linnets in the summer of 2021, he played for Lower Breck in the North West Counties League.

Lynch was previously on contract at Crewe Alexandra, coming through their academy and playing against his new side in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

He also enjoyed a spell ay Morecambe, featuring for their first team in the EFL Trophy.

The midfielder becomes the second former play to return to the club in a matter of days, with the signing of goalkeeper Bayleigh Passant confirmed in recent days.
