Mossley sign ex-Burnley academy winger

Mossley have announced the signing of talented winger Jamal Crawford following his departure from 1874 Northwich.

Crawford returned to 1874 for his second spell ahead of the 2023/24 season and went on to make 20 appearances for the Pitching In NPL West Division strugglers, scoring once.

Between spells in Northwich, the 26-year-old finished the 2022/23 season with Runcorn Linnets, helping the club to the NPL West Division play-off final last year.

He made his debut for the Lilywhites on Saturday, coming off the bench in their 1-0 defeat at Leek Town.

That result leaves the club 15th in the NPL West Division, with just one win to show from their last eight league games.

They sit five points above the relegation zone and face 1874 Northwich - Crawford's former club - in their next league outing.
