National League midfielder joins Silkmen on loan

Macclesfield have announced the signing of James Hardy on a one-month loan deal from Vanarama National League North side Buxton.

Hardy, 26, started his career in Manchester City’s youth setup, before signing for Fylde in 2015.

The attacking-midfielder had loan spells for Halifax Town and Buxton before he penned a permanent deal with the Bucks in 2020, after his period with Chester.

He has been fielded six times this season for Buxton, and he will be looking for more first-team minutes during his short stay with the Silkmen.

Macclesfield are currently top of the Pitching In Northern Premier League West Division, with 24 points from 11 games this season.

Hardy will go straight into contention for their upcoming fixture this Saturday, as Danny Whitaker’s side welcome Premier Division club Guiseley, in the FA Trophy first round.
