New goalkeeper for Skelmersdale United

Skelmersdale United have signed Salford City goalkeeper Joel Torrance on loan until the end of the season.

The young shot-stopper joined the Ammies in the summer of 2021, having been a regular at youth level for National League side Altrincham.

Standing at 6’3, Torrance will be an imposing last line of defence for the Blueboys, who are currently nine points adrift of the Pitching In NPL West Division play-off places.

They will go in search of a fourth successive win as they host Colne on Saturday.
