League accepts resignation.
The Northern Premier League is sorry to have to announce that Norton United have tendered their resignation as at the end of the current playing season. The club have indicated that they will be running only junior teams next season.
Their resignation has been accepted by the League Board.
At the stage the League is unable to state how this affects the relegation positions in the First Division South until confirmed by The Football Association.
No further statement will be made until the relegation situation affecting other clubs may be confirmed.
