League leaders Radcliffe went into their home game against Whitby Town with a seven-point cushion at the top of the division, but it didn't stop them falling to a surprise 1-0 loss against the Seasiders.
Jacob Gratton's 85th minute penalty proved enough to inflict a third league defeat of the season on the Boro, with Whitby rising to ninth in the table.
The night's other big winners were Macclesfield, who thrashed Atherton Collieries 6-0 to climb to fourth.
Kane Drummond bagged four goals for the Silkmen, with John Rooney and Paul Dawson also getting in on the act.
Play-off-chasing Ashton United were forced to come from behind twice to rescue a point at Ilkeston Town.
One of their goals was scored by James Hardy, who was making his second debut for the Robins after joining on a permanent deal from Macclesfield earlier in the day.
It was another high-scoring affair at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium, where Bamber Bridge trailed twice but came back to draw 3-3 at home to FC United of Manchester.
The Brig remain 17th in the league table, one place below FC United.
Finally, a trio of second-half goals helped Guiseley to a resounding 4-0 win over Matlock Town.
The Lions have now scored four goals in each of their last three games at Nethermoor.
