Premier Division round-up: Draws galore as Gladiators win big

thanks to a header from Kallan Murphy.

John Johnston and Jordan Barnett wrapped up victory after the break as Craig Elliott’s side bounced back from Saturday’s defeat to Warrington Town in emphatic style.

Elsewhere, Clayton Donaldson kept up his fine goalscoring form, but it wasn’t enough to stop Gainsborough Trinity from being held to 1-1 draw at home to Morpeth Town.

Donaldson’s lovely flick had given Trinity the lead midway through the second half, but Connor Thomson quickly levelled for the Highwaymen as the points were shared.

At the Skuna Stadium, Radcliffe recorded their third 1-1 draw in a row away at Atherton Collieries.

A fine finish from Jake Thompson had given Boro the lead with 25 minutes gone, but Arran Pettifer equalised two minutes later for Colls, who leapfrog Marske and climb to 15th in the table.

In the final two games of the round, Jack Baxter struck later as Stafford Rangers rescued a point at home to Hyde United, while the match between Lancaster City and Liversedge ended goalless at the Giant Axe.
