Solomon-Davies departs Atherton Collieries

Atherton Collieries have confirmed that defender Josh Solomon-Davies has left the club to pursue opportunities in UEFA football.

The 24-year-old right-back joined the club in August 2023 from Marine and made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Colls, scoring on four occasions.

He became the first player in the club’s history to receive full international accreditation after earning four caps with his native Saint Lucia in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Solomon-Davies leaves the club in pursuit of opportunities to play in UEFA competitions.

On the departure, Atherton Collieries manager Dave Chadwick said: “I'm gutted to see Josh go, but the potential to play in Europe was something he can't turn down.

I want to wish him all the success in the future, he's worked hard since being with us and has never let us down. Good luck, Josh.”
