Stalybridge Celtic sign Yellows defender

Warrington Town defender Mo Ali has left the club to join fellow Northern Premier League side Stalybridge Celtic.

Ali initially joined the Yellows ahead of the 2021/22 season, having spent the previous campaign at Southport.

The Somalia international featured a total of five times for Town before suffering a serious knee injury during the club's 2-2 draw with Buxton in September 2021.

He successfully underwent surgery and has been undergoing rehabilitation with the Yellows ahead of his return to action.

The centre-back will hope to held steer Stalybridge to Northern Premier League survival.

Chris Willcock's squad are currently one place above the relegation zone, and Ali could go straight into contention ahead of Saturday's fixture against Ashton United.
