Stalybridge part ways with midfielder

Stalybridge Celtic have announced that Max Harrop has left the club by mutual consent.

Harrop, 30, joined Celtic in the summer from Ashton United, going on to make 18 appearances and scoring four times.

The former Liverpool Academy player joined the then-League One club Bury in 2010.

Since then, Harrop has become an experienced non-league midfielder, featuring for the likes of Nantwich Town, Ashton United, Ramsbottom United, Altrincham and Curzon Ashton.

At Altrincham, he helped the Robins win the Northern Premier League title in the 2017/18 season.

Regarding his departure from Stalybridge, a club spokesperson said: "Stalybridge Celtic can confirm the club has mutually agreed with Max Harrop to release him from his contract.

"We’d like to wish Max the very best for the future and thank him for his efforts since joining in the summer."
