Ossett Albion manager Richard Tracey has turned to a trio of experience campaigners in a bid to steer clear of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division North relegation fight.

Former Huddersfield Town, Notts County, Guiseley, Bradford Park Avenue, Ossett Town and Workington winger Simon Baldry, pictured, Frickley Athletic's former skipper midfield general Danny Walsh along with two former Albion favourites, defenders Dominic Riordan and Andy McManus - all signed for the Unicorns manager ahead of training on Thursday.

Apart from McManus, the supporters' player of the year two seasons ago who dropped down into local football due to work and family commitments and is still two to three weeks away from returning - they are expected to be in Saturday’s squad to face Harrogate Railway Athletic at Dimple Wells.

Tracey said: "Despite some very good performances we have sadly dropped to bottom of the league, we have some very good players but due mainly to their youth and inexperience their performances has been a little inconsistent.

"We have also suffered quite badly with injuries and suspensions which have been compounded by Saturday’s dismissals of Henry Owen and Stefan Holt.

"So I felt we needed more experience in the squad and was delighted when the four agreed to sign. I have already brought Darol Lucas back to the club and the signings of Pat McGuire and Mark Trueman see the squad finally taking shape."
