Triple-signing for Tadcaster Albion

Tadcaster Albion AFC have announced three new signings ahead of their game this weekend against Shildon in the NPL East Division.

Box-to-box midfielder Nathan Valentine, attacking midfielder Scott Smith and forward Cole Roberts have all joined the club.

All three players will be available for Saturday’s fixture.

Valentine, 29, started his career with Yorkshire Amateurs and later moved to Harrogate Town.

He has previously had spells for AFC Liverpool, Scarborough Athletic, Radcliffe and AFC Bury and joins The Brewers from Maltby.

Smith, meanwhile, is the younger brother of current right-back Steve Smith and joins from Emley in the NCEL Premier.

The attacking midfielder started his career with Bradford and Guiseley’s youth setups, later having loan spells with Matlock and Goole before joining Pontefract Collieries.

Smith made 29 appearances for Colls last season, scoring two goals in his time at the club.

And finally, Roberts, 19, joins on loan until December from Bradford City.
