Warrington Rylands stalwart leaves club

Warrington Rylands have confirmed the departure of long-serving defender Warren Gerrard.

Gerrard was one of the first players signed by the club when they made the step up to the NWCFL in the summer of 2018.

He went on to make over 100 appearances for the Blues over four years and was part of their historic FA Trophy-winning squad of 2020/21.

However, Gerrard has yet to feature for the club so far this season and has opted to take up a new opportunity with Skelmersdale United, who play in the Pitching In NPL West Division.

In a statement posted on social media, Rylands said: "The club would like to thank Warren Gerrard for his incredible service to the club, and wish him well for the future."
