Witton Albion land new goalkeeper

Former Ipswich Town and Fleetwood Town goalkeeper Harry Wright has joined Pitching In NPL West Division side Witton Albion.

Son of former England shot-stopper and now-Manchester City goalkeeping coach Richard Wright, Harry rose through the youth ranks at the Tractor Boys.

Following his release in the summer of 2021, Wright went on to join Fleetwood Town but remained there for just one season.

His father, Richard, made two appearances for the England national team between 2000-01.

He also amassed over 300 appearances for Ipswich over three spells, joining Arsenal in a deal with around £6m in July 2001 after his first stint in Suffolk.

Wright also spent four years with Manchester City between 2012-16 without making a first team appearance.
