Young defender makes Marske United switch

Left-back Joey Hope has joined Marske United following his departure from Darlington.
Left-back Joey Hope has joined Marske United following his departure from Darlington.
The 20-year-old spent last season out on loan at Northallerton Town and Guisborough Town.
Prior to this, he featured for Grimsby Town, making his professional debut for the Mariners in the EFL Trophy after signing his first professional contract with the club in the summer of 2020.
He left Grimsby by mutual consent in March 2021 before joining local club Darlington.
Marske United begin the new season at home to Belper Town on Saturday 13 August.
