Ex-Bayern man Jennings joins Vauxhall Motors

Vauxhall Motors have signed forward Dale Jennings following his departure from Prescot Cables.

Jennings, 33, makes the move across Merseyside having been unable to commit to a playing position with Cables, the club confirmed in a statement.

Born in Liverpool, Jennings started his youth career with the Reds before moving onto Tranmere Rovers, where he made 32 senior appearances.

After a stint with Bayern Munich’s reserves from 2011-13, he returned to English football with Barnsley and MK Dons, then went on to build a wealth of experience across the football pyramid - including stints with Barnsley, Runcorn Town and most recently 1874 Northwich.

Last season, he scored a number of crucial goals for the Greens, in a team led by current Motors manager Chris Herbert, as they secured promotion back to Step 4 via the Midland Football League Premier Division play-offs.
