FC United of Manchester forward ruled out for rest of season

FC United of Manchester forward Gez Sithole has undergone surgery which will rule him out for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign.
Sithole sustained an ankle injury in the first half of their recent 1-0 defeat to Stockton Town.
Taking to social media after the operation, he said: "Not the way I wanted my season to end.
"However, thanks to my team-mates and the staff who have helped so far, and all thanks to God for guiding the hands of the medical team and ensuring everything went smoothly.
"I'm feeling positive and grateful for this new chapter towards healing and strength."
Sithole joined the club in October, having started the season in the National League North with Warrington Town.
Following Mark Beesley's departure from the Yellows and subsequent move to FC United to replace Neil Reynolds, Sithole became one of a number of Warrington players who followed their former boss to Broadhurst Park.
Sithole has gone on to feature 24 times in all competitions for the club, scoring three goals.
FC United are currently 13th in the Northern Premier League table with three games remaining.
They can also look forward to the Fenix Trophy Final 4, which will take place in the picturesque surroundings of Lake Iseo in Italy next month.
