Lancaster City tie down forward to new deal

Lancaster City forward Steven Yawson has extended his stay with the club.

Yawson has penned a new deal until the end of the current season, with the option of a further year.

Since arriving ahead of the 2025/26 season, Yawson has made 44 appearances for the Dolly Blues, scoring 13 times.

During his career, Yawson has achieved his best form whilst working under Lancaster boss Jimmy Marshall.

The forward's arrival at The Giant Axe came just over a month after Marshall took charge of the club, with the pair having previously worked together at Milnthorpe Corinthians and Kendal Town.

The 27-year-old has already scored twice for Lancaster in the league this season, in victories at Bury and Guiseley.
