Lincoln United confirm managerial plans for next season
Lincoln United have announced the permanent appointment of David Frecklington as manager.
He will continue to be assisted by Darren Dye and James Morgan, the trio having taken over at the start of the year following Billy Heath's departure before leading the club to a 13th-place finish in the NPL East Division.
The club say the appointment of the management trio "is a testament to the class and pedigree of management that the three represent".
"I think this has been my biggest achievement in management," Frecklington said.
"In a tough division against some very strong teams, the players delivered every week until we were mathematically safe.
"We couldn't have achieved this without Darren and James by my side, who have been just as influential in helping us achieve our Step 4 status for next season."
The club averaged 1.68 points per game since their arrival, during a tenure which also included five straight wins.
Chairman Stuart Reddington said: "On behalf of the board, sponsors, Supporters Trust, fans and players, Lincoln Utd are delighted to confirm that the management team of Dave Frecklington, Darren Dye and James Morgan have committed to the job permanently, having brought so much success in the second half of last season.
"The performances and results of the team since the new year have been outstanding, and have led to so much optimism and belief around the club when looking forward to the 26/27 season.
“Huge credit goes to the management team and the players, who deserve a very well-earned rest before preparations begin for the season ahead.”
